Welcome to the Talcott Mountain Science Center & Academy, where students in grades K-8 embark on a thrilling journey of discovery and learning! Let us nurture your child’s passion for science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on learning in one or more of the following programs:

Talcott Mountain Academy — Where K-8 gifted and talented students thrive in a fun, challenging and supportive environment. With a full curriculum, differentiated instruction and passionate teaching staff, students learn to ask questions, find answers, and unlock their full potential.

STEM Programs at Talcott Mountain — Encourage learning year-round with Talcott’s Summer of STEM Adventures, and Saturday & School Vacation programs for students in grades K-8. With hands-on experiments and creative learning inspired by science and our mountaintop campus — Talcott’s carefully crafted programs spark your child’s innate sense of curiosity while fostering teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. The end result? Children realize that learning is fun, and develop a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. Join us in congratulating Rhea D., Talcott Mountain Academy Class of 2023, for receiving five awards at this year's Connecticut Invention Convention! In addition to an invitation to compete at Invention Convention U.S. Nationals in 2024, Rhea also received the IMS Most Innovative Use of Materials Award, presented by the Institute of Materials Science at UCONN; the Kutnick Family Award, presented by The Kutnick Family Foundation to a student with a particularly innovative approach to keeping water safe, clean, and sustainable; The Petit Family Foundation Promising Young Women Inventors Award, presented to three high scoring, creative, and intrepid young female inventors; and a CASE Award. Congratulations, Rhea! Great work!
