INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION 💡
The TMRI high school summer research program will utilize program mentors to work closely with participants. Program mentors should have experience directing research.
Each mentor will guide a small group of highly motivated high school students through the research process by providing content lectures, helping students formulate questions, and explore research methodologies and interpret results and present findings.

Through Monday, October 20, the flag at the Talcott Mountain Science Center & Academy campus is being flown at half-staff in memory of Nancy Hursey, wife of TMSCA trustee, Francis "Frank" Hursey. Nancy passed away peacefully at their West Hartford home on Sunday, October 12. Nancy and Frank were married for 58 years and had three children. Nancy found great happiness in their nine grandchildren.
Nancy came to know TMSCA through Frank`s relationship with Talcott Mountain Science Center`s founder, Dr. Donald LaSalle. Nancy & Frank have been ardent and generous supporters of our mission for decades. Through the Hursey Family Foundation, Nancy`s legacy of compassion and care has extended from the Farmington Valley to Uganda. We are grateful to Frank & Nancy, and our heartfelt condolences are extended to the entire Hursey family.
