AVON, Conn. — August 13, 2026 — Talcott Mountain Science Center, Academy, & Research Institute (Talcott) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Corinne Green as Dean of Talcott Mountain Academy. A leader in gifted education with experience spanning research, teaching, and school leadership, Dr. Green brings a deep understanding of advanced learners and a passion for creating environments where curiosity and talent can thrive. Her appointment reinforces Talcott’s commitment to providing an exceptional educational experience for advanced and curious learners while preparing them to become the next generation of innovators.
Dr. Green began her career in Houston, Texas, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Houston Honors College. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted educational psychology research inspired by her own experience attending a magnet school before pursuing doctoral studies at Purdue University. She completed her doctorate in Gifted, Creative, and Talented Studies while coordinating the GER²I Summer Residential Program for advanced students in grades 5 through 12. Prior to joining Talcott, Dr. Green served for five years as both a teacher and principal at Apogee School for the Gifted in Indianapolis, where she also earned her school administration license.
As Dean, Dr. Green will provide strategic leadership for the Academy, guiding its academic vision while supporting students, families, and faculty. She will oversee the development of innovative STEM programming and personalized learning experiences that meet the unique academic and social-emotional needs of advanced and curious learners.

We are incredibly fortunate to welcome Dr. Green to our leadership team, and I am thrilled to work alongside her as we enter this exciting next chapter for the Academy.”

Dr. Green said programs for advanced learners have played an important role in her life since attending magnet school as an adolescent and have inspired her ever since. She looks forward to building on Talcott’s legacy while expanding opportunities for students and their families.
