Genetics | Ages 13-15

Learn about what makes you, YOU! In this engaging, hands-on class ideal for homeschoolers, students ages 13-15 will embark on a 6-week journey with Talcott Instructor Brigette Zacharczenko to explore DNA themed crafts and games, DNA extraction, transcription & translation, Punnett squares, and cladograms. They’ll even to learn to use PCR and Gel Electrophoresis equipment to solve a “who-done-it” genetic mystery.

Every week will include lessons and hands-on activities. Students are encouraged to bring a notebook and pencil.

Class runs from 9:30am – 1:30pm, Fridays, April 5 – May 17. (No class on Apr. 12.)
