Skygazing on Talcott Mountain
May 2 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
This program is for adults and families with children ages 4+ (children must be accompanied by adult).
Join us for an unforgettable evening of stargazing at Talcott Mountain Science Center’s mountaintop campus! You’ll begin your night with a guided constellation tour in our planetarium, followed by outdoor telescope viewing under the stars.
With our powerful telescopes, we’ll explore stunning celestial sights including Jupiter, Mars, the Orion Nebula (M42), double stars like Mizar and Alcor, and beautiful open clusters. You’ll also catch a view of the waxing crescent Moon—a perfect target for early-evening stargazers!
Because much of the program takes place outdoors, please remember to dress for the weather — anticipating cooler temperatures on the mountain than in the surrounding towns. This program is ideal for both astronomy enthusiasts and curious minds ages 4 and up (children must be accompanied by an adult).
Don’t miss this chance to experience the night sky from one of Connecticut’s most scenic and inspiring vantage points!
$25/Adults (Ages 14+)
$15/Children (Under 14)
